buy.enjoy.save -- My Privilege Book launch by IVOQ Concept Co.

IVOQ Concept Co introduced new way of advertising of lifestyle related businesses to Kuching when they launched My Privilege Book on the 1st January 2008.



I was honored, and lucky, to be part of the invited for this event coverage.



My Privilege Book is a compilation of discount vouchers provided by 125 lifestyle related businesses in Kuching, which comprise over four sectors: Retail, Dining, Entertainment and Services. Total cash value of discounts provided in the book would be at least RM2,500.

This book serve as a guide book for the consumer, and as a medium for exposure for the merchants.

Distributions of the book are through participating merchants, road shows and independent distributors. All locations would be listed out in the their website at www.ivoqconcept.com.



My Privilege Book aims to help the public save while they enjoy at the same time. It is hoped that word-of-mouth advertising will increase, as it helps in providing effective advertising at reasonable price.



My Privilege Card is attached to every My Privilege Book. It serves as a mode for consumers to enjoy additional privileges throughout the year. For Merchants, it serves as a mode for merchants to carry out any additional promotional activities throughout the year. Merchants can carry out any promotion. Customers can participate in the promotional activities when presenting the card.

There were a few familiar faces there at the book launch.

The launching was scheduled at 1pm, and it is to be launched/officiated by Alan Sim. Speech was given by Jodie, and was followed by Alan's.

july recap

It's end of July, and let's just see what happened in the 7th month of the year 2007.

Sibu Trip: 3-4 July.
I had to fly over to Sibu for a night's stay to replace a faulty power pack for the server. Work, gah!

Blades World 2007 @ One World Hotel, KL: 11-12 July.
It took me less than a year to go back KL, sooner than I expected.

This trip is the trip I'd complain the least. I made my first official trip, which doesn't require me to work. This is what I call fun.



Unlike my other trips, I need not to wait till after-5, and shut down servers, and start working on the server. I love this the most. Sit back, relax and enjoy. Just go there and attend conference.



The only complain was. the trip was too short.



One night only.





10th Rainforest World Music Festival @ Sarawak Cultural Village, Kuching: 13-15 July
My first visit to the annual world-class event in Kuching - Rainforest World Music Festival.



It was great!



I'll definitely come again next time.



And next year, I hope I can extend my exposure to the media/press. :D

Rainforest World Music Festival (RMWF) came, and almost gone now. Today's the last day for the great annual event in Sarawak.

I just had my first ever visit to RWMF last night. It was great! Updates and photos to follow soon.

It has been quite a busy week for me.


Early in the week
I've been trying to get a server up and running in the office, and is still trying. Hopefully, all can be done by tomorrow. I've been trying to get help from the manufacturer's technical support, but it sounded like they're not well-equipped with the knowledge to assist.

I had to dig the dirt most of the time to get the solution. Crap.


Midweek
I spent a night in Cititel Midvalley, KL on Wednesday.

The idea was to attend seminar/conference in Bandar Utama the next morning. Details and update on this may come on later.


Weekend
Spent time working Saturday, before zooming to my very first visit to RWMF. And, I liked it a lot!

Rainforest World Music Festival, the 10th edition.

new mobile experience in town

It is finally here.



The new mobile experience has arrived in town on 29/06/2007.





The new buzz in town - Sheer Unique, brings a new level of experience to Kuching. Sheer Unique mark their stamp on new mobile lifestyle with their conceptual showroom, showcasing the mobile phones to the consumers.



In conjunction of their grand opening, Sheer Unique had held a mobile fair from 29 June - 1 July 2007 at DUBS Commercial Complex. Among those present at the grand opening were Kenny Sia and John Lee. Too bad, I didn't get to take their actual photos.



Sheer Unique brings in quite a range of mobile phones, which are worth checking out. Among the hottest items in town are HTC Touch. HTC are the manufacturers for Dopod mobile phones, and have recently signed acquisition agreement with Dopod International.

And, we're certainly thinking of Rainforest World Music Festival, held in Sarawak Cultural Village, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Rainforest World Music Festival is a three-day-world class event. On the day time, you have music workshop conducted, and when night falls, you will have concert performances.

I have never been to any of the past editions, but words I have heard from, are mostly praises and positive feedback.

I can't wait to shoot the event. If only I can get a 'Media Access Pass', or pass with similar credentials then I can roam freely and shoot better photos. :) I wish.

If you happened to be around off-Petanak area, or Travilion area, you may have seen this already.



It seems there will be a new mobile phone outlet opening soon.



In conjunction to their grand opening, there will be a mobile fair going on here from 29 June 2007 - 1 July 2007.
